  • How can I contact you?
    Email me at deebs@deebsillustrations.com.
  • What do you specialize in?
I specialize in illustrating whimsical cartoon stories for kids and teens where nature and people are working together. I create illustrations for book covers, picture/chapter books, graphic novels, comics, stickers and more.
  • What materials do you use in your artwork?
I use traditional media such as watercolor, guache, colored pencil, etc, and also digital media through Photoshop, Procreate, Illustrator, and Clip.
  • Where did you study?
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in 2017 where I learned academic fine arts. I furthered my education by completing the Cartoon I program at the Joe Kubert School of Cartooning and Graphic Design in 2023, where I learned storytelling, comcis/graphic novels, cartooning, character design, Adobe Suite, writing, and storyboarding.
  • Where do you teach? (What is Outschool)
I teach on Outschool, an online education platform where I am able to create and manage my classes while getting backend support from the company. You can find my profile, reviews, and classes here.
  • What do you use to teach art online? Will my child be able to see clearly?
I teach my online art classes through Outschool on Zoom. Access to Zoom and the class will be available on the classroom page after you sign up. On Zoom, there will be one camera always on me, and another camera on my artwork/demo area where I can zoom in and out of so that the class can see details clearly.
  • How do I sign up for your classes?
First, sign up and make profile on Outschool. Then, click the subscribe button near the class and time you are interested in. Look through my classes at the bottom of my profile here. If you sign up for classes, please message me so that I can welcome you to the platform!
  • When do you teach?
I teach my classes Monday through Friday weekly after school eastern time and on Saturday mornings. Look at specific times by choosing a class at the bottom of my profile and viewing the availability.
  • How do your weekly classes work? Do I have to attend every week?
Classes are subscription-based (charged each Sunday) and meet up at the same time and day each week. Classes do not build, giving learners the opportunity to drop in and out as their schedule allows, without worrying about "falling behind". Each class is a different topic/subject and uses the same approach to give all learners, new and current, the time to learn and practice basic drawing techniques.
  • How can I stop my subscription? How can I skip a week?
You can simply click "pause subscription" to skip a week or "stop subscription" to stop classes entirely. Go to your profile, click the class, and choose what you need. Stop/Pause the subscription before Sundays to avoid being charged for the week you will be missing!
